with 25 minutes to go it looked like they would at least get that until once again they injury jinks that has blighted their season stuck again as they lost 3 more players to injury in quick succession.
Avon got off to a poor start conceding a try to a charge down within 2 mins. To their credit Avon's young pack fought back straight from the kick off and after a series of drives created space for scrum Half Alex Gapper to power over from close range with Fitch converting to make things level.
With the set pieces even and Avon looking dangerous in attack as they looked to use the full width of the pitch it was Avon defence that let them down as they conceded two Try's through missed tackles .
Avon got themselves back in the game when they created space up the right wing to allow prop Chris Mutlow to show his pace by out sprinting the defence in a 50 metre run to the try line.
With the wind on their back second half Rob Fitch penalty got Avon back to 19 18 on 55 mins before the injury jinks hit again and Whitehall took full advantage running in 3 try's in quick succession before Stuart Dilloway dummied his way over for a conciliation try towards the end.
Avon face Chew Valley on sat and will be hoping to welcome back Prop Chaz Meddick after a 8 week absence.
