With no senior matches last weekend, Avon’s focus turned to their Minis and Juniors section. All the Avon teams were playing or practising at home on Sunday with the Under 5s, Under 7s, Under 11s and Under 13s all enjoying the action at Hicks Field.

The Avon Minis are grateful to former club captain Scott Book whose company SB Roofing have agreed to sponsor new tackle bags and shields this season. Pictured are some of the younger players holding the new equipment.

If any additional young children are interested is trying out the facilities and coaching on offer at Avon RFC, they and their parents will be made most welcome on Sunday mornings from 11am onwards with RFU qualified coaches and bacon butties in the clubhouse afterwards.
