In the league, we had the biggest home fortress and were 2nd best travellers. We scored the 3rd highest points at home and the 5th best away. We conceded the 4th fewest points at home and the 2nd fewest away.
Our cup run saw us beat Bradford on Avon, then Melksham away in the quarter final, followed by an immense away win in the semi against league champions Midsomer Norton before triumphing in the final against Corsham. Our league form was consistent, scoring 15 try bonus points and picking up 2 losing bonus points. Standout league wins were achieved in the home matches against Clevedon, Oldfield and Weston Hornets.
141 tries were scored across the 26 games, averaging almost 5.5 per match. Top try scorer was number 8 Dan "Sexy" Cousineau with 19, whilst the ever-predatory Hurdy sneaked over for 13, just ahead of both livewire scrum half Kiddie Sheikh and also elusive winger Jack Moore on 11. Xander Hall-Davis powered over 10 times, with "Frenchy" Griffin touching down 9 tries. Will Bartholomew added 8 tries despite playing in the unfamiliar centre position with Parris-Parris and Ollie Flight both scoring 7. Jake Coates was on 6 with Sam Book, Matt "gap-season" Thresher and big Ben May all adding 5 tries each. Influential young prop Oscar MacCormack crossed the line for 4 tries with 3 each for Rhys van den Handel, Arnie Jarvis, player-coach Rob Fitch and also 3 penalty tries. Dave Attwood touched down 2 tries whilst there were 1 apiece for Jonny Batchelor, Escher Le Duc, Liam Ridley, Chris Mutlow and Josh Hiscott. Meanwhile Kane Book claimed that the 3 penalty tries were as a direct result of his scrummaging prowess and also collected an unprecedented 2 MoM awards. Rob Fitch ended up as leading scorer with 135 points whilst Jonny Batchelor also slotted 56 off the tee.

Clive missed 1 match this season, bringing his total to 4 missed in the 29 years since 1996. The bench replacements (Muts, Snail & Hurdy) vs St Bernadettes totalled a combined age of 115 years and around 1150 1st team appearances. Hundreds of column inches appeared in match reports in the Chronicle. 6 Comb Vase final appearances = 6 wins on Rec. And finally, next season will mark 100 years since Avon's formation in 1925 as their Centenary celebrations get underway.
