Chris was a powerful 2nd row or prop forward during the 1980s and 1990s with Avon. He captained the club in the 1989-90 season and took up the whistle with Somerset Referees after finishing playing. Chris often ran the line as our touch judge at our home matches and in more recent years enjoyed watching the rugby from the touchline at Hicks Field with his brother Steve. Details about arrangements to celebrate his life are currently being finalised and will be publicised once known.
