The 3 toughest matches of the season occurred in March – away at the top 2 league leaders Wiveliscombe and Gordano, followed by an away cup match against high-flying Corsham. A few players stood out for their commitment and consistent displays (including Ian Burnell, Josh Harding-Wyatt and Glen Atherton) but this month’s award must go to youngster Josh Hiscoff who has excelled in the second row. Despite only joining Avon this season, Josh has quietly gone about his business and cemented his place in the middle of the scrum. With his imposing presence and powerful surges, he has proved a real threat to the opposition and offers huge potential for the future.
