Scott Book embarks upon his second season as Club Captain, whilst Dan Mutlow again skippers the 2nd team. The coaching triumvirate also continue with Clive Book as Director of Rugby, Kai Harwood Head Coach and Chas Meddick Player/Coach. Pre-season training starts on Tuesday 4th July from 7pm at Avon’s Hicks Field ground off the London Road at Batheaston and all existing and new players will be made welcome in preparation for the new campaign.

Off the field, the Committee were re-elected en bloc with the addition of Sarah Godwin-Drew as Events Manager and Louis Belsten as Social Secretary.

This week, Avon staged their first primary school Girls Tag Festival which was well-attended and a great success. Coming up on Saturday 15th July is Avon’s greatly anticipated Annual 7-a-side tournament. Meanwhile every Wednesday evening throughout the summer, Avon continue to host the Bath touch rugby competition with 20 mixed teams competing for honours.
