Miles progressed through Avon's junior ranks, captaining the age group teams as a mobile and powerful back row forward. The Bath Academy contract is testament to the hard work he has put in after recovering from a serious knee injury. It also shows what can be achieved from local players with a mix of talent, hard work and good coaching.
In this respect, well done also to his coaches at Avon including Wayne Davis and Mark Reid.
Well done also to his junior team mates who helped provide a platform for him to play and develop within a successful team environment at Avon Juniors. Two of his contemporaries, Xander Davis and Sam Wykes, have also graduated to Avon's 1st team last season, and it is hoped that others from that age group will follow suit next season.
