After holding some rugby tots sessions during this season and last as part of their resurrected Minis section, the newly formed Avon Under 7s played their first-ever match last Sunday against Avonvale. The event started with a joint coaching session, then the players were mixed up for the actual game. All the youngsters enjoyed the rugby fun on the pitch and the after-match meals in the clubhouse, courtesy of Terry Gapper in the kitchen.

For the record, Avon’s tries were scored by Ellis Hurd, Sam Raggatt and Austin Ford. Avon would like to thank Avonvale for taking part and appreciate the efforts of the coaches Kane Book, Kai Harwood and Ben Hurd over several months to help relaunch the Minis.
