Only a few family members and close friends are permitted to attend the service itself. However, some members of Avon RFC are planning to form a guard of honour around 11:15am at the top of the road inside Haycombe as the hearse and funeral cars drive by. This will obviously be outside in the fresh air and socially distanced to comply with the regulations.
Terrry Wynes has agreed to say a few words about Simon's playing days at Avon as part of the service and the family have requested that no black is worn, although Avon blazers and ties are acceptable.
